Croissant GOvegan among the Innovation Products - Sial 2014



DURING THE EVENT, WHICH WILL BE HELD IN PARIS FROM 19 TO 23 OCTOBER, THE ITALIAN LEADER IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS WILL TAKE PART IN THE PRESTIGIOUS COMPETITION “SIAL INNOVATION”, FOR WHICH IT HAS BEEN SELECTED WITH THE SPELT CROISSANTS IN THE NEW LINE GOvegan.

Probios, the Italian leader in the distribution of organic vegetarian products and for dietary intolerances, announces its participation in SIAL Paris 2014, the international food fair to be held at the Parc des Expositions di Nord Villepinte in Paris from 19 to 23 October.

On its stand (stand H031 – Pav. 5A), the Tuscan group will be presenting for the first time to the international public, two of its new lines, but which have already succeeded in gaining the approval of Italian consumers: on one hand the range of gluten-free foods, with a special focus on the AltriCereali brand; and on the other, the new line GOvegan, designed especially for anyone who chooses a vegan lifestyle, avoiding all types of animal products.

In particular, in the AltriCereali line, you can find pasta and breakfast products such as the Crispy Flakes (Buckwheat, Amaranth and Quinoa), Buckwheat biscuits with carrot and almonds, Amaranth cakes with chocolate chips and the Buckwheat Tart with apricot. The GOvegan products include the spelt croissants (natural or filled with apricot jam), vegan ciok (creamy spread with cocoa and Italian hazelnuts), piadine (flat breads) and wraps.
A selection of specialities will also be presented, designed in association with Roberto Politi, the author of vegan books and recipes such as vegan carbonara (with tofu and seitan), vegan seafood spread (with seaweed and citrus fruit), vegan Tuscan spread (with seitan paté to spread onto bread) and vegan mayo (mayonnaise with real soy yoghurt).

During the event, Probios has also been selected to take part with its “GOvegan spelt croissants” in the prestigious competition “SIAL Innovation”. This is the most important exhibition in the world for current trends and innovations in the world food industry.
