Thanks to the patronage of the Municipality of Florence, the 27 companies that have joined will present in rotation their best references in this important enogastronomic and manufacturing setting, giving visitors the opportunity to taste and buy what will be put on display by the main taste shops.
From June 18 to July 1 (from 12 pm to 11 pm), Probios will propose its organic, vegan and gluten-free offer for the UK market, as the products of the GOVegan and Rice&Rice brands. In addition to direct sales, visitors of the Metropolitan Market will have the opportunity to taste different types of menus to choose between organic vegan and organic gluten-free, developed by the chef Manuela Cavallaro who is dedicated to the creation and implementation of delicious vegetarian and vegan recipes (strictly ORGANIC!) for the Probios company canteen. Along with the menu are smoothies of fruit and vegetables and iced tea, healthy and refreshing.
Mercato Metropolitano
Mercato Metropolitano in London is the first community-based sustainable market with an Italian soul. I’s the first site in the United Kingdom and is located in Zone 1, in the heart of the Borough Triangle, just a few minutes walk from both Borough and Elephant and Castle underground stations. The Market has aggregated and incubated about forty food and beverage artisans, a highly cared-for cinema, a creative space, a boxing gym, a Bavarian brewery in circular economy and three urban hydroponic, aeroponic and mushroom cultivation farms with coffee grounds, to name a few. The London Metropolitan Market was inaugurated in 2016 by its Italian founder Andrea Rasca as the first location outside the original site of Milan, offering an impressive permanent range of small artisan, farmers and established producers who bring the best of Italian and international food in the heart of London.
