Probios at the National Football Tournament AIC!

From 15 to 17 June 2012 the "Memorial Franco Lucchesi" 9th Soccer and Tennis Tournament of the Regional Italian Celiac disease Associations will be held and take place at the Camping "Il Girasole" of Figline Valdarno. Probios participates in this event through the donation of products for participants’ lunch. The Football Tournament for AIC regional representatives is inspired by a game played on May 17, 2003 when in Fiano Romano, on the occasion of the II World Day of Celiac Disease, the two Regional Representatives of AIC Emilia Romagna and and AIC Lazio faced off on the football field. This game will be remembered not for the result, but for the climate of aggregation and the great desire of friendship between all people with celiac disease who participated. The tournament, which over the years has become an important national event for the Association, serves multiple purposes: - to allow celiacs to establish contacts of friendship between the young and less young people belonging to different regions and discuss the different ways of approaching celiac disease in areas and cultures - to show that even people with celiac disease, once a diet, are normal people and are able to compete on par with peers without celiac disease even in sports - to help kids who do not accept the diagnosis to deal daily with celiac disease with serenity - succeeding to talk about celiac disease and related issues in areas where it is not yet known.
