INGREDIENTS
- 200 g white flour
- 50 g potato starch
- 200 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 150 g butter
- 80 g dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp dark cocoa powder
- 200 ml almond drink
- For the glaze:
- 80 g butter
- 250g dark chocolate
- 120 ml unsweetened whipping cream
INSTRUCTIONS
- First soften the butter at room temperature for around a hour. Then beat it with the egg yolks and sugar until you have soft and fluffy cream.
- Melt the chocolate in a water bath, let them cool and add it to the butter sugar cream. Pour the flour sifted with the starch, tha baking powder and the cocoa powder alternating with milk in order to have a soft dough.
- Last, whisk the egg whites until stiff and incorporate them with a spatula from bottom to top being careful not to deflate them.
- Pour the mixture into a baking tin and let it cook for 50 minutes at 180°C.
- In the meantime prepare the glaze melting in a water bath the butter with chocolate and cream. Let it cook completely then beat it with hand mixer until fluffy. Spread the glaze on the cake using a spatula.
