
INGREDIENTS
- - 350 grams of lentils
- - 1 onion
- - 1 carrot
- - 1 clove of garlic
- - 1/2 stick of celery
- - 1 cup of tomato sauce
- - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- - 2 pinches of red pepper
- - sea salt q.b.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Finely chop the onion, carrot and celery and fry them in a saucepan with a heavy bottom (preferably earthenware) with the oil, after 5 min. combine the lentils and fry for about 10 min. then add the pureed and pepper, bring to the boil.
- Season with salt, cover and continue cooking over low heat for at least an hour.
- With this sauce you can season farro, polenta, bulgur or other cereal grain to taste.
