INGREDIENTS
- - 350 g of strawberries
- - 320 g of flour
- - 200 g of brown sugar
- - 200 g of plain yogurt
- - 160 g of butter
- - 2 eggs
- - 3 roses dried edible
- - ½ teaspoon of baking powder
- - salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut into four 200 g of strawberries, then dredge in flour and set aside.
- Combine in a bowl the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, a pinch of salt and the roses (or petals) well pounded in a mortar.
- Mix aside the melted butter in a double boiler, along with the yogurt and eggs. Stir in the dry ingredients and then stir. Add floured strawberries and stir for a few seconds. The mixture should remain lumpy and rather dry, because the strawberries during cooking release a lot of water.
- Pour the mixture into a donut mold previously buttered and floured, decorate the surface with the remaining strawberries cut in half and sprinkle with a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar.
- Bake at 175 ° C for about an hour. After half an hour, cover the mold with aluminum foil to prevent overdrying the strawberries on the surface.
