Whole Wheat Biscuits with Almonds and Figs

INGREDIENTS
  • Ingredients for the dough of biscuits:
  • - 140 g of oat flour
  • - 150 g of ground almonds
  • - 130 g of brown sugar (You can whip to make it mor finely)
  • - 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • - 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • - 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • - Soy milk taste
  • Ingredients for decoration:
  • - A tablespoon of powdered sugar
  • - 16 ripe figs
  • - 150 g almond slices
  • - 20 whole almonds
  • - 3 tablespoons poppy seeds
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients for the dough except the milk. Knead by hand gently, adding the milk gradually. The dough should be firm, but soft and a bit sticky.
  2. Remove the dough from the bowl and spread on a plastic wrap. Put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  3. After this time, remove from the refrigerator and spread better the biscuits on baking paper on a baking sheet, creating "pizzette" of about 10 cm in diameter.
  4. Bake in oven at 180 degrees and cook for 5 minutes or so.
  5. Meanwhile, wash and cut the figs. Take the cookies out of the oven and distribute the figs on them, together with the almonds and poppy seeds, and a little sugar. Bake for 10 minutes or until they are completely cooked.
  6. Serve warm or cold.
