Apple Fritters with Chestnut Batter

  1. In a bowl, sift and blend the buckwheat flour and the chestnut flour, then combine the eggs and the rice milk to obtain a soft batter. If it’s too thick, soften it with more rice milk.
  2. Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into half a centimeter thick slices: you should obtain about 12 slices.
  3. Heat abundant peanut oil in a pan and pour, a few at a time, the apple slices covered with chestnut batter. Fry them for about a minute, then flip them. When the batter becomes golden and dry, remove them from the oil and place them on kitchen paper to remove the excess oil. Sprinkle the powdered sugar on top and serve them hot.
