French Toast/Pain Perdu with Hazelnut Cream and Bananas - Panito


INGREDIENTS
  • -8 slices of panito
  • -1 egg
  • -soy milk (at least there we save on cholesterol)
  • -1 banana
  • -hazelnut cream (you can find several around gluten-free!)
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. This bread is cutted very well without breaking, so cut into slices and create a sandwich with two slices, lots of hazelnut cream and 3/4 banana slices.
  2. Close it well (this will take cream on both sides !!!), pass the closed panito in milk, then egg, and cook on both sides in a frying pan greased only (please, do it for me, do not fry ... I don’t want You on my conscience!).
  3. Small anecdote: the "Ciriaco" saw the prepared but not cooked sandwiches and said: "What is this?".
    Me: "I have to test this with a bread recipe.
    He said:"ah, I thought you had invented the bread and hazelnut cream!".

    What a cute boho, isn’t he? He had to change his mind, anyway! He took two again this morning!!

    It should be eaten still warm... and it's an unbeatable comfort food!
