-1 kg of strawberries cleaned and cut into quarters
-500 g of light brown sugar
-juice of 1 lemon
-a pinch of vanilla powder
1 Put the strawberries in a thick-bottomed pan, add sugar, lemon juice and vanilla. Stir.
2 Cook over moderate heat for about 15 minutes, then reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the jam thickens.
3 Remove from heat, pour in individual sterilized jars and let cool before closing.
4 Store it in a cool place or in the refrigerator and consume within a year of preparation.
